Bilingue en devenir..../ Bilinguism in the making...
En anglais : to whisk the egg whites
Well, this is not an easy one to translate. How can I put it? This is a kind of clumsy use of two languages by a young child, which turned out to be a lovely pun. So, the other day my number 1 and I were baking a cake. As we were making the cake mixture we got to the point where we had to whisk the egg whites...this is when Snow White popped in uninvited, and without the seven dwarfs....So, here goes : in French we say “to bring the whites (egg whites) up into snow (as in a "snow looking aspect”) and in my little one’s mouth it came out in French as something like “to make the eggs Snow White”.
